ADHD & Neurodiversity

ADHD is a big topic these days - for individuals and organizations.

ADHDers are trying to better understand their ADHD how it plays out in their lives.

Organizations are recognizing the strengths ADHDers bring to their teams and thinking in terms of diversity, inclusion, and success.

Like many Xennials and Millenials, I received an ADHD diagnosis well into adulthood.

One one hand, it flipped my world upside down. I experienced grief, frustration, anxiety, and RELIEF.

On the other hand, it gave me another lens to explore — through professional training and lived experience — the same questions I’d been exploring for decades.

My approach to ADHD is practical, grounded, and occasionally playful. ADHD can certainly make life more interesting but I don’t see it as a “superpower” or a tragedy.

Living our best lives with ADHD is about understanding our own particular ADHD traits and working with them.
